This tester from a 1960 magazine is only for capacitors with insulation voltages above 200 V (110 V) m and 300 V (220 V), detecting leakage in common types of polyester, paper, and other non-electrolytic. The diodes can be either 1N4004 (110V network) or 1N4007 (220V network).
