Laws of Distribution (MA179E)

Na element is added to a product by adding the element to each member of the product and a sum is multiplied by an element by multiplying every member of the sum by the element. The circuit diagram correspondent to these laws is shown in the figure.

Distribution Laws:

a + (b x c) = (a + b) x (a + c)

a x (b + c) = (a x b) + a x c)

Mathematic notation:

a ∪ (b ∩ c) = (a ∪ b) ∩ (a ∪ c)

a ∩ (b ∪ c) = (a ∩ b) ∪ (a ∩ c)

Logic Notation:

a ∨ (b ∧ c) = (a ∨ b) ∧ (a ∨ c)

a ∧ (b ∨ c) = (a ∧ b) ∨ (a ∨ c)
