The circuit shown here uses a 4047 to produce three signals whose frequencies are determined by C and R based on the formula in the schematic diagram. The 4047 is a Monostable/Astable Multivibrator with a frequency divider and symmetrical outputs. One of the signals has a frequency determined by R and C, and the two others have opposite phases are half of the central frequency. The minimum value recommended for R is 1 k ohm and for C is 10 pF. Using a 22 k ohm resistor and a 10-pF capacitor, the circuit will run at 1 MHz. For 220 k ohm and 1000 pF, the circuit will run at 1 kHz.
