The purpose of this circuit is to provide a constant current to an experimental electromagnet. The current up to 3 A is obtained by R which is calculated by dividing by 1.25 by the desired intensity. Integrated circuit must be equipped with heat radiator and for the indicated diodes the maximum current is 1 A. The circuit is of a book of Newton C. Braga. The voltage of the transformer should be 12 to 15 V with a current of 3 A or according to the maximum calculated for the supplied electromagnet.
