The preamplifier using JFET presets a high input impedance and very low distortion. The input sources can be microphones or piezoelectric transducers. Any general purpose JFET can be used such as the MPF102, BF245, etc. The circuit can be powered from any 6 to 12 V source and current drain is very low. Input and output cables must be shielded to avoid noise.

 


 

 

Figure 2 shows the wave shape displayed by the virtual oscilloscope found in the MultiSIM BLUE.
