Two or more 4013 can be cascaded to perform a divide-by-4 (-8, -16, etc.) as shown here. The circuit can be used as a two-bit binary counten The input characteristic is the same as that described for circuit CIR148. Since the 4013 has two D-type fIip-flops in the same package, one device is enough to perform this circuit. The maximum input frequency is 125 MHz when the circuit is powered with 10 V.
