The circuit shown in Figure bellow generates frequencies of 50 Hz, 100 Hz, and 200 Hz. The circuit uses a XTAL of 3278 kHz and two CMOS le: a 4080 to produce a 200 Hz signal and a 4013 [two flip-flops] to divide this frequency by 2 and 4. Using two stages for division by 5 and 10, you can obtain 1 Hz pulses from the 50 Hz signal for a clock or chronometer.
