“I am designing a 20 W amplifier with TIP41 / TIP42 transistors. Can you send me a formula to do your calculation?”

This is a misconception that many of our readers have about electronic projects. One formula is enough to calculate any circuit. An amplifier is not a simple circuit or a component in which you simply apply a formula and the values of the components “appear” the way we want. Complex circuits (and most of them are) require calculation procedures, that is, a step-by-step process in which each component is calculated from different formulations. For example, for an amplifier we have several steps and in each step the calculation of resistors and other components. How to do this is learned in technical courses and engineering courses. For those who do not know how to do this, the best thing is always to start from a ready circuit.
