I connected two speakers within 10 meters of the amplifier using twisted telephone wire. Although I did not notice any losses, since my amplifier is not very powerful, I was told that it is not the right way to make the connection. These wires are not recommended for this.

A twisted wire connection to a speaker is tolerated at a short distance when the power is not great and also when excellent sound quality is not required. Twisted pair is not intended for low impedance audio signals. In addition to being fine featuring a resistance that affects low impedance and high power signals, causing losses, the twisted pair has a capacitance that can affect the high signals, also causing losses. To connect speakers and speakers, appropriate wires should be used, the red and black types that are usually seen in specialist houses. For high powers, yarns that are thicker than ordinary yarns with thicknesses compatible with power must be purchased.
