“I set up the Transnew (FM Transmitter), but its range does not go beyond a 5 m. I move away from the FM receiver and signal disapears. What is going on?”

You are probably tuning in to a spurious or harmonic signal. We explain. The Transnew circuit like many small transmitters produces a stronger signal in the frequency for which it is tuned and other weaker ones, denominated spurious or harmonics in diverse frequencies. These signals, because they are weaker, have no reach. If you instead tune in the main signal of the transmitter to tune in one of these spurious signals, the range will be very small and it will disappear. What you should do is tune back the transmitter and look for the strongest signal. You should make several attempts until you find this signal that is the fundamental. This also occurs with remote control transmitters and others.
