This was an extremely popular radio in the 60's and 70's in Brazil, consisting of a 5-tube transformerless type medium and shortwave receiver with reduced wire resistance on the cable itself. With excellent sensitivity the device was sold in large quantity, and some with possibility of recovery. Here's the scheme.
