This circuit is from a 1947 publication (Radio Craft). Medium-wavelength coils have 100 turns of 28 thread primary in a 2 cm diameter coreless tube (PVC or Cardboard) and 20 turns of secondary. The antenna is short and adjustments are made to the trimmers. The power supply must provide 300 V with at least 50 mA. Instead of mica capacitors ceramic types can be used. The 6C5 works as an oscillator and the others as amplifiers, with the input 6J5 as modulators.
