The two power steps below are intended for use with the SAA1027 stepper motor control but can be adapted for other controls when the current required by the motor is greater than 500 mA. For the second circuit Q1 it can be a BD135. Power transistors must be mounted on heat radiators. The currents can reach 3 A per phase in these circuits. The circuits are from an old English publication from 1989.
