The circuit presented is from American documentation from the 70s. The frequency of the circuit depends on the crystal. The coil L1 must be according to the frequency, as well as C2. L2 is a smaller coupling coil over L1 to remove the signal from the circuit. Adjustment of the circuit operation is done in the 1k potentiometer. The circuit is powered by two batteries and can oscillate at frequencies of hundreds of megahertz.
