This circuit shows how to use a low current read switch to control high power loads. The circuit is a half wave control for the AC power line. The SCR must be mounted on a heatsink and type depends on the AC line voltage. Up to 400 W can be controlled with the TIC106B in the 110/117 V AC power line. This circuit is not isolated from the AC power line.
