I got this circuit from a magazine in 1967. The magazine no longer exists, but the circuit that operates from the 5 MHz band can be mounted using a BC548 transistor. The coil is formed by 30 turns of yarn 28 in a 1 cm diameter tube with socket on the 10th loop. The variable is from a medium wave radio.
