In the figure we show a configuration for a crystal controlled overtone oscillator using a junction field effect transistor. The frequency of this crystal-dependent oscillator can typically be between 100 kHz and 10 MHz. The capacitors must be ceramic and the field effect transistor admits equivalents like the MPF102.
