The coil of this receiver consists of 100 turns of wire 38 to 30 in a ferrite rod and the capacitor is a variable taken from an old AM radio. The circuit is from a publication of the 1970s, and can be assembled with BC558 transistors. The transformer is the output type for transistor radios. The antenna must be long and a good earthing helps in receiving the weakest signals.
