The best way to obtain MAT (Very High Voltage) circuits above 10 kV is through fly-back inverters or Tesla coils. Tesla coils are high-frequency circuits that easily generate potentials of up to 500,000 V (500 kV), but are very critical for mounting and even handling as the voltages involved are dangerous.
