A fluorescent lamp on the bench helps you see much better the details of your assemblies, read schematics and designs. We show in this article how it can be done in a simple way the installation of a lamp of the type that uses starter (older) with the reactor.
Fluorescent light on the workbench is important both for the accuracy of the work and for not forcing the wearer's vision. The system we describe uses a common fluorescent lamp a traditional ballast and in place of the starter a pressure switch.
Using common tabs we can fix or hang the bulb in the best place on the bench, without the need for additional elements that can make the system more expensive.
We must also take into account the energy saving, since with a fluorescent lamp of 20 W we obtain the same intensity of light that a incandescent lamp of 60 W.
Assembly
In figure 1 we have the system circuit. In this circuit we use a common switch to start, rather than the traditional starter. Simply press this button a few times to light the lamp.

In figure 2 we have the way to make the connections of the various elements of the circuit.

The reactor must be specified according to the wattage of the lamp. Connectors are found in homes made of electrical materials.
Material list
L1- Fluorescent lamp from 15 to 40 W
S1 – Push-button
X1- reactor according to the lamp (common type that needs starter)
Miscellaneous: wires, plugs, connectors, etc.
