The circuit of Figure 1 uses a 4098 CMOS in the monostable configuration providing both normal output and complementary output.
The time the output remains in the active state depends on R and C, according to the formula next to the diagram.
The power supply can be made with voltages between 3 and 15 V and the consumption without load is very low, on the order of 0.5 mA with 10 V supply. The input is activated when taken for an instant to the low level.
The resistor may have values in the range of 1 k to 1 M ohms while the capacitor may have values in the range of 100 pF to 1000 uF.
In figure 2 we have a suggestion of printed circuit board that uses only one of the monostable available in the configuration.
The other half of the integrated circuit can be used in equivalent configuration.
