This experimental radio for the medium wave range was found in a Poptronics in November 2001. The transistor can also be a BC548 and the phone must be a high impedance magnetic. A piezoelectric headset with a 4k7 resistor can be used in parallel. The coil consists of 30 + 70 turns of wire 28 on a ferrite rod and the antenna must be at least 5 meters long. With a germanium diode the receiver will be more sensitive.
