This circuit is from a 1939 publication. In it we have some curiosities such as the use of a ballast valve, a valve that contained two power resistors to serve as a load for reducing the voltage of the filaments. The circuit operates at the frequency set by coil L1, staying in medium waves. The power supply is provided directly by the power grid. Entry is by pickup or crystal pickup.
