This circuit is a time when silicon rectifier diodes such as 1N4004 and 1N4007 did not exist and the rectifiers were selenium. Obviously, for the assembly if the valve and the output transformer are obtained, the diode may be the modern type. The circuit is for an electric or portable turntable of the time.
