We find this circuit in a 1981 publication. The primary high voltage coil formed by 100 turns of 28 AWG wire and secondary is formed by 1 000 to 2 000 turns of 32 AWG wire in a PVC tube 1 inch or thicker. The transformer T2 has secondary from 150 to 500 V with 100 mA.
