The hertz loop is a simple way to probe the operation of a transmitter. One or two turns of any wire and a 50 mA lamp can be used to pick-up the signal of a transmitter by the final tank coil, as shown by the figure. This loop can be used to pick signals from transmitter starting from 1 W.
