This bridge is used to inductance measurements and the results are independent of the generator frequency. Although this fact, the frequency of the external generator can be chosen according the magnitude of the measured inductance. The basic circuit is shown in figure bellow.

When balanced:
L4 = R1 x R3 X C2
and
R4 = (C2 / C1) x R3
Where:
L4 is the unknown inductance in henry (H)
R1 and R3 are the resistances in the arms in ohm (Ω) - R1 variable
R4 is the resistance associated to the inductance in ohm (Ω)
C1, C2 and C3 are capacitances in farads (F) - one of them variable (C1)
