I found this circuit in a 1986 English magazine. It can still be easily assembled, replacing the BC107 with BC547. Only ZD2 and shock are the critical components of the assembly. ZD2 is a voltage reference. The input voltage is 12 V and the operating frequency is 20 kHz.
