I found this circuit in a 1992 Electronics Experimenter Handbook. The circuit can be easily assembled today, as all components are common. What it does is to time a balcony light, for example, by turning it off automatically after a certain time. The circuit was designed for the 110 V network and only incandescent lamps but can be changed for other networks. We suggest using lower values for R6 and higher values for C4 to obtain greater time stability.
