The circuit shown bellow is gated by an external signal. A high logic level applied to the input starts the oscillation. The frequency depends on the RC network as described in CIR087E. Waveforms for this circuit are also shown in the figure. The maximum frequency is about 4 MHz and depends on the power-supply voltage.
