This control stage or shield can be used with motors from 3 to 12 V and currents up to 3 A. Transistor Q2 must be equipped with a heat radiator if the motor current is greater than 500 mA. The circuit needs at least 1 V of signal that can come from sensors, CMOS or TTL steps and other control circuits.
