The interesting thing about this circuit found in a 1985 English magazine is that it controls the gain of a mixer in order to have the signal in phase or with the phase inverted. This circuit becomes useful with microphones, eliminating feedback by reversing the phase. The circuit can be tested with other operational amplifiers and the power supply must be symmetrical. The formula next to the diagram gives the gain.
