This light-controlled circuit uses a 6 V or 12 V relay depending on the supply. The transistor can be the BC548 and the operational amplifier supports equivalents like the 741. The diode can also be the 1N4002 or 1N4004. The sensor is a common LDR and the sensitivity adjustment is made in PR1. For a wider range of adjustments use a 100k trimpot. The circuit is from a 1980 publication.
