We found this HV generator circuit in a 1967 publication. It can be fitted with SCR TIC106 and the transformer is an automobile ignition coil. The bridge diodes are 1N4004 and the GE zener is 12 V. The CR2 diode can be a 1N4004. The circuit generates high voltage pulses controlled by P1, which can be 22 k or even 47 k. CR3 is a 1N4007.
