This circuit generates a rectangular signal whose frequency depends on the electrolytic capacitors. This frequency can be adjusted in the 47k ohm potentiometer. The transistors can be the BC558 and, with them, unlike the original, the circuit will operate with voltages from 9 to 12 V. The circuit is from a publication from the 1970s.
