When the power is turned on, the output of this circuit goes to the “1“ logic level by a time interval determined by R and C. For the values shown in the diagram of Figure, the time is about 1.4 seconds. If other values are needed, change the capacitor in direct proportion. The output pulse can be used to reset a function in a circuit or to drive a relay.
