This power supply can supply a voltage between 6 and 8 V depending on the load. The transformer will determine the maximum load and 250 to 600 mA types can be used. The power supply has no short-circuit protection and resistor R1 must be wired with at least 2 W of dissipation. This source is not recommended for critical devices that require regulated voltage.
