This circuit was obtained in a 1991 publication. What it does is to amplify a signal with unit gain but in relation to the positive reference. This is a circuit known as a “translator”. The output is enhanced by the presence of the transistor, which may be a BC548. The input impedance is high, and the maximum output current is determined by resistors R3 and R4.
