Another interesting way of generating signals with small active cycles, that is, short pulses, is by using different circuits for charging and discharging the timing capacitor. In the circuit shown in the figure, the ratio of values between R3 and R4 determines the active cycle. The integrated circuit used in the simulation is the operational amplifier 741, as a voltage comparator. However, equivalents that reach higher frequencies can be used.
