One touch on S1 and the circuit turns on. With a tap on S2 it turns off. This is the purpose of this circuit found in a technical documentation on SCRs and Triacs from the 70s. The circuit can be implemented with Triacs of the TIC series, operating on the 110V or 220V network. The Triac must be equipped with a heat radiator.
