This circuit originally uses germanium transistors having been obtained in a publication in 1960. However, the circuit can be made with silicon transistors and the supply made with two sets of 3 V (two batteries). The antenna depends on the signal strength and the coil consists of 100 turns of wire 28 in a ferrite rod. The variable can be obtained from an abandoned medium wave radio.
