The circuit shown is from a 1975 Motorola thyristor manual. The triac can be of the TIC series and the transistor is a BD136. The circuit controls a lamp, but it can be used for other purposes. As a shield, the CMOS must be powered with 5 V and eventually the reduced 33k resistor.
