We found this circuit in a 1977 Italian Elettronica Prática. BC107 can be replaced by BC547 and BC177 by BC557. The circuit uses a suction cup or “Pick up coil” to capture the sounds next to the phone, which must be of the magnetic type. The best position of the pickup must be obtained experimentally.
