This is the modern version of the Galena radio in which the detector is a germanium diode (which can be of any type). We found the circuit in an old documentation and the phone must be made of crystal or ceramic. The antenna must be long, and a good earth connection increases the performance. The coil consists of 80 to 100 turns of wire 28 in a ferrite rod.
