Interval pulses emitted by this circuit are picked up in a medium wave radio nearby. The circuit is from a 1981 publication but can be assembled with a BC548. The coil consists of 30 + 70 turns of wire 28 in a ferrite rod. An antenna can be connected to the transistor collector for greater range. The supply can be made with voltages of 4.5 to 6 V.
