The circuit shown in the figure serves as a pre-amplifier with a voltage gain of around 12 times, which allows it to be used with low-efficiency or medium-impedance transducers, such as microphones, dynamic capsules, etc. The supply is made with a voltage of 6 V obtained from the amplifier with which it must work or from batteries, since the consumption is very low. The current drained by the circuit is of the order of 1.6 mA. The transistor used must be of low noise as indicated, for better performance and the signal input and output cables must be shielded.
