This shield circuit is suggested by Texas Instruments and can employ almost any optical coupler equivalent to the TIL111. Transistors also support equivalents. The coupler transistor operates with low impedance (between 20 and 100 ohms), which guarantees a good response speed. The output characteristics of the final transistor allow direct excitation of integrated TTL.
