The circuit shown in the figure is a voltage follower, that is, an amplifier with unit gain. The input voltage in this circuit can vary between 0 and the supply voltage, obtaining the same value in the circuit output. Since the input impedance of the circuit is very high (1M), and the output impedance is around 150 ohms, we have a high-power gain. This circuit can be used to match a high-impedance with the low-impedance input of an amplifier, for example. Note that in this circuit, the phase of the output signal is the same as that of the input signal.
