Although the UAA170 is not a common component today, the circuit shows how it can be used in a digital tachometer with a relatively simple LED scale. The circuit is from 1988 and must be powered by a voltage of 12 V which allows its use in the car with the connection to the contact breaker (cars of the time). The potentiometers or trimpots adjust the scale and sensitivity of the circuit.
