This circuit is suggested by National Semiconductor and has an excellent gain, for a photodiode as a transducer. We have 10 V of signal for each microampere of current increase in the photodiode. The resistors are accurate to maintain the indicated response and the power supply must be symmetrical. One of the main characteristics of this circuit is that the leakage current that increases with the temperature does not affect the circuit appreciably, since it responds to the short-circuit current of the diode.
